WEB3 days ago · Gamma ray, electromagnetic radiation of the shortest wavelength and highest energy. Gamma rays are produced in the disintegration of radioactive atomic nuclei and in the decay of certain subatomic particles. It includes some overlap with X-rays in the electromagnetic spectrum.
WEBAug 10, 2016 · Gamma rays have the smallest wavelengths and the most energy of any wave in the electromagnetic spectrum. They are produced by the hottest and most energetic objects in the universe, such as neutron stars and pulsars, supernova explosions, and regions around black holes.

WEBNov 29, 2018 · Gamma rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation, as are radio waves, infrared radiation, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and microwaves. Gamma rays can be used to treat cancer, and gamma-ray...
WEBGamma-ray photons are between 10,000 and 10,000,000 times more energetic than the photons of visible light when they originate from radioactive atomic nuclei. Gamma rays with a million million times higher energy make up a very small part of the cosmic rays that reach Earth from supernovae or from other galaxies.
WEBWhat are Gamma Rays? Gamma rays are a form of light. All light travels in waves and is classified according to its wavelength, the distance between its waves. The universe produces a broad range of light, only a fraction of which is visible to our eyes.
